Help us to campaign for a fairer system - E-mail your MP here

Our survey of nearly 4,000 people with long-term conditions in England finds that many are severely compromising their health as a result of not being able to afford prescription charges.  We are calling for change and need your help.

People with long-term conditions in England are still forced to pay for the prescriptions they need to stay well.  We need your help to campaign for an end to this unfairness.

The Prescription Charges Coalition has published a new report, called Paying the Price.  We have found that people with conditions, such as asthma, heart disease, arthritis, HIV, Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Parkinson's, mental health conditions, cystic fibrosis, auto-immune disease and many others, are having to choose between food, clothing, bills or prescriptions.  It is wrong that people are stopping or rationing their prescriptions because of an outdated and arbitrary system.  Charging is also short-sighted as it makes it more difficult for people to manage their conditions effectively, leading to more severe health problems and extra costs to the NHS and society as a whole.

If you live in England, please email your MP today, asking them to call for an end to prescription charges for people with long term conditions. It only takes two minutes. With your help we can show politicians that there is widespread support for ending this injustice.

Thank you for campaigning with us.
