Help us to get prescription charges on the election agenda
We're asking general election candidates in English constituencies to support a review of the medical exemption criteria for prescription charges. You can help keep up the pressure by emailing your local candidates:
At the moment most working-age people with long-term conditions in England have to pay for their medicines, because only a handful of conditions qualify for an exemption. Our research shows that as a result, many of them don't take their medication as prescribed, often with serious consequences for their health. Help us make the system fair for everyone with a long-term condition by emailing your MP candidates today.
If you're going to a local hustings or talking to candidates who knock on your door, you can also download our Guide to Raising Prescription Charges with Local Candidates to help you talk about these issues. Let us know how you get on by emailing us.
