Prescription Charges Coalition launches short survey into the impact of charges on working life8/1/2014 The Prescription Charges Coalition of 29 charities and organisations has launched a short survey, to look at the ways in which prescription charges potentially impact the working lives of people in England with long-term conditions such as IBD.
The survey marks the newest phase in the Coalition’s campaigning work, which will see us call on all of the three main political parties to commit to ending prescription charges for people with long-term conditions in their election manifestoes. It follows the publication of the report 'Paying the Price' in early 2013, following a wide ranging survey on this issue, which had nearly 4,000 responses. Last year also saw over 3,000 people write to their MP to highlight the impact of prescription charges, a debate on prescription charges in the House of Commons and a mention of the Prescription Charges Coalition in the Scottish Health Minister’s address to SNP Conference. If you pay for your prescriptions and live in England, your response will be very valuable to our campaigning activity in the coming year.
